PDE Resource Links
The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires that all groups of children reach proficiency in Reading and Math. The link above to "PAAYP" is a resource developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to enable members of the public to access AYP information for school districts across the commonwealth.

On this Pennsylvania Department of Education page, you can find Performance Level Descriptors in Math, Reading and Writing by grade level as well as Item Samples which show the types of items that appear on the PSSA.  Each item has been reviewed for alignment with the Assessment Anchors.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education has launched its Standards-Aligned Systems website which is a portal containing information for educators and parents about Academic Standards and more.
