Coordinates and sponsors monthly school assemblies and activities that enhance our children's' education from areas of dance, drama, art, literature and much more. Help publish this school-wide directory with all the information you'll ever need: names, addresses, phone numbers, school calendar and more - in one must have book for all WES families. Volunteers update information, sell ad space, make printing arrangements and sell to WES families at PTO events in early fall / early spring. To help, contact Jeanine Ade or Catherine Twitmyer.
The first PTO-sponsored event of the school year. This great evening in September brings WES families and faculty together to welcome in the new school year. Bring a casual dinner or buy pizza. The PTO organizes entertainment, ice cream and beverages. To help, contact Bunny Rebane or Sharon Zamsky.
This committee is led by several 5th grade parents who help create lasting memories for our 5th graders' last year, assist the 5th grade teachers with special projects and events during the year, create a yearbook for each student, and plan a year-end 5th grade celebration. One of the PTO's largest moneymakers, it is held at the beginning of the school year. Volunteers coordinate packets and distribution - deliveries arrive in time for the holidays. Please contact Amy Shoumer or Lori Geiling.
The Grade Level Socials are a great way to get to know fellow parents whose kids are in the same class. The setting is informal and guests are asked to bring an appetiser or dessert and their favorite drink! To find out how to help, contact Val Lingo or Julie Hartman.
The Radnor Green Committee is a school-wide effort to educate and inform on green issues and to integrate green principles into school-sponsored events and classroom curriculum at all three Radnor elementary schools. This committee will also oversee the installation of an Audubon "bird garden" and outdoor classroom (co-funded by Radnor Conservancy and the Wayne PTO) at WES and their use within the curriculum. Health and Wellness The nutrition committee is interested in sharing fun and delicious healthy snack and meal ideas to the children and parents of Wayne Elementary. Whether it be cafeteria tastings, day or evening seminars, or articles in the newsletter- we hope to share what wehave learned about nutrition. To find out more contact Jen Hilbert.
A great way to get involved in your child's classroom is to volunteer to be a Homeroom Parent! Responsibilities include: helping the teacher organize class parties and events, assisting the teacher in recruiting classroom volunteers if needed, creating class email lists for easy communication, sending emails or make phone calls at the request of the PTO concerning school issues and fundraising. KidStuff Coupon books are another great fundraiser that benefit you and WES!! Cost is $25, 50% of which directly benefits WES. You can recoup the cost of the book by using just one, two or three coupons, but you have the opportunity to save hundreds with over 200 various vendors! New Family Welcoming Committee
We welcome new WES families throughout the year and at the start of the year. Become a Buddy Family by introducing yourself and helping them assimilate to their new school. We provide each new family with a packet of helpful information about WES and Radnor Township and coordinate orientation events to familiarize new families with WES. Recruits and presents a slate of PTO officers and parents interested in serving on the Board of Directors. Helps staff committees with volunteers. Please contact Caren Morrissey.

Radnor Education Foundation (REF) Representative
Our REF representative acts as the liaison between the Radnor Education Foundation and the PTO. Responsibilities include: attend quarterly REF Board of Trustee meetings and monthly PTO meetings, update PTO members of current grant activity and fundraising events, assist teachers with the letter of intent and grant writing process, cultivate pilot and innovative programs for possible funding by REF and promote the REF fundraising and grant award activities. Radnor Scholarship Fund (RSF) Representative
Volunteers research and coordinate grade-level science assemblies. To help, contact Mia McCall.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon
