Ithan Elementary School

What is IPC?

Ithan Publishing Company

We are a group of parent volunteers assisting Ithan students through the process of book publishing.  Our goal is to have every student publish his or her own story!  Each year IPC publishes over 250 books!  To reach our goal we need your support.

Calling all 3rd - 5th Graders - IPC is ready for your stories! Click here  for instructions.

We will hopefully be having a couple of binding sessions in early February. If you'd like to help out while chit chatting with other Ithan parents let us know. Please email one of us: clare_lane@comcast.net, elasky@yahoo.com, or kjchet@verizon.net

Help Needed:
IPC meets throughout the school year to put together the students' books that have been returned. The meetings are held each month in the Lodge.

How it works:
  • All K-2 children receive letter explaining the process.  Children dictate a story to you and then return it to school.  That story will be sent to our volunteer word processors and then returned to the young author for illustrating.  Lastly, the book is bound and given to your child for them to keep.  If you would like to type your child’s story that is a big help.

 Ways to help:

  • at home typists
  • in school binding
  • collect leftover framing mats from local shops
