The students here at Radnor Middle School are privileged to have access to books they need in order to learn. Unfortunately, there are other schools where students are not as lucky. The students attend schools deprived of even the most basic reading materials. Books make a difference in students’ lives, and we would like to share that opportunity with students who do not have enough books.
Beginning on March 2, in conjunction with our Read Across America celebration, we would like to promote a book drive. Students can bring in new and/or gently used books for children in need. Students may place them in the collection boxes around school until Tuesday, March 13. The books will then be distributed to a local, under-resourced school, which will use them in its library and classrooms, thus, putting them directly in the hands of students.
Thank you for your help with this worthwhile community project. Working together can give hope to hundreds of deserving local children, simply by giving them a chance – a chance to read and succeed.

Parents important information about Pick-up/Drop-off procedures on Windermere Avenue - Please do not drop students on the street side of Windermere Avenue. There has been a significant increase of parents dropping off their children along Windermere Avenue and allowing them to cross through busy traffic. This is very dangerous and can lead to a tragic accident. Parents should only drop off students inside the Windermere loop - Click here |
